SR. NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (CISCO)

Our client is a 100-year-old, global manufacturing company that is comprised of two well-known consumer brands. They are expanding their IT team and currently looking for a Senior Network Administrator for their U.S headquarter in Easton, PA. This is more than just a job; this is a career move. The Sr. Network Administrator role is responsible for directing daily administration of a network/firewall environment. Installs, configures, and maintains system software and firmware. Monitors network performance and manages future capacity needs, troubleshoots the more complex issues and designs solutions to be implemented. Responsible for project planning upgrades and installation of new applications and equipment. Manages patches to address identified vulnerabilities. Creates and maintains a disaster recovery, security and backup and restore plan and policy. Leads the evaluation of new technologies and perform analysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on the best way to optimize network efficiency and performance. Manages ticket queues, incidents, and change management adherence.

Responsibilities:

Designs the implementation of the network environment, with guidance from InfoSec. Evaluates and install patches and resolve software or security related issues.
Plans the implementation and supports maintenance of the core network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, switches, Ethernet Internet connections, Voice and VPNs)
Designs the implementation and supports maintenance of security and availability monitoring solutions for both systems and network infrastructure. Provides reporting to the Network Lead on network statistics, and performance.
Ensures maintenance and implementation of network disaster recovery architecture and operations to support the systems and applications teams.
Troubleshoots and resolves multiple complex network service devices; network security devices; and telecommunications services that require escalation from tier 2 network support; recommends solutions to mitigate future issues.
Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies and recommends solutions for future designs.
Supports the design and review of new server systems and application deployments in both workstations and servers. Recommend modifications to Server systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Coordinates with systems engineering, business application, and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of network to meet corporate objectives.
Supports application development teams throughout project lifecycles and provide recommendations for enhancements.

Experience / Education Requirements:

A minimum of 7 years network management, design, and implementation is required
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college/university is required; 5 additional years of experience in Network Engineering disciplines may be substituted for a bachelor s degree.
CCNP Routing and Switching certificate (preferred) or comparable knowledge (required);

CCDA/CCDP, CCNA/CCNP Security, CCNA/CCNP Wireless certificates or equivalent knowledge (preferred).

Required Cisco Experience (installing, configuring and maintaining):

Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including skills with Word, Excel and Visio are necessary; Microsoft Project experience is desirable
The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor is essential.
Proven analytical skills and the ability to lead team/projects are required.
Proven ability to motivate self and others is necessary.
Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values are key attributes.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to respond to issues on 24-7 basis. On occasion, participate in on-call rotation for afterhours support.
Some travel required (5% or less)
